Cambridge as a Sanctuary City: What it Means for Immigrants in Cambridge

The current national political climate has generated considerable concern and anxiety on the part of many Cambridge residents, especially members of immigrant communities. As a "Sanctuary City," Cambridge affirms the basic human rights and dignity of every human being and provides education, health and other services to all residents of Cambridge, regardless of their immigration status. This session will provide an overview of the City of Cambridge's 32 years of being a sanctuary city, what that means, what resources and support is available, and how the municipal government implements its commitment to supporting and promoting the safety, health, and well-being of all its residents.
