Ampersand Concert Series: Peals and Tuxis Giant: Breezy Dreams

Join us for a beautiful summer edition of the Ampersand series with Peals and Tuxis Giant!

Peals is a collaboration between William Cashion and Bruce Willen, bassists for Future Islands and Double Dagger - two of Baltimores most energetic live bands. With Peals, the duo creates intimate instrumental music, shifting inward the energy of their other groups towards immersive and introspective performances.

Tuxis Giant started as the solor recording project of Boston-based songwriter Matt OConnor. Pairing open-tuned, fingerpicked guitars with hushed, lo-fi production, Tuxis Giants debut album is an intimate and engaging listen. Now, joined by bassist Tim Regan and drummer James Steinberg, OConnor is pushing the projects sound in newer, louder, and stranger directions.

Tickets are available for purhase at the door or in advance online at the link above.

Doors open at 7:30 pm. Concert begins at 8 pm in Bartos Theater, lower atrium level.

Cost: $3 with MIT ID, $5 General admission.

Ampersand, a collaborative concert series presented by WMBR & List Visual Arts Center, showcases contemporary music in Bartos Theater on MITs campus. Performances blend art and music, and happen every other month. Audience members are encouraged to visit the current exhibitions at the List before experiencing each performance.
