Amanda Moore is the Communications Coordinator at MIT's School of Architecture and Planning.
Since receiving her Master of Science in Visual Studies (SMVisS) from MIT ACT in 2011, Moore has worked for various regional and international institutions, including Tufts University & The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Künstlerhaus Stuttgart and the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. Moore was engaged as Visiting Junior Researcher at the Nanyang Technological University Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore. Most recently, Moore was the Communications and Public Programs Coordinator at MIT’s Program in Art, Culture and Technology (ACT) in the Department of Architecture.
Moore’s artistic research is focused on the overlaps & borders of various disciplines that address issues of technologically mediated communication. Recent projects include, “JUST Shopping,” JUST Episoden in der Calwer Passage, Stuttgart, Germany (2014), “Plein Air,” Crossing Media Villa Merkel, Esslingen, Germany (2013), “The Future Archive,” n.b.k. Berlin, Germany (2012), “Learning and Playing,” a performance for Urbonas Studio "The Learning Machine," the Wolk Gallery, MIT (2011) and “the nononothing,” a weekly experimental radio broadcast on MIT’s campus radio station, WMBR 88.1 FM, (2010-12).
