Interest Area:

I’m interested in creating a dynamic between a visual art practice and a job in industry. Working in the environmental product industry has given me an understanding of the way products are made, their impact on the environment and the way business is conducted. It has also allowed me to actively participate in the move toward sustainable manufacturing. My art-life is where I’ve focused on the cultural and environmental issues at stake in the business world: the creation of desire, the construction of identity through consuming and the need for a radical approach to remaking industry.

The Artist as Employee: Creating a dynamic between a socially engaged professional life and a critical art practice.

Career Ambition:

In the abstract, I’d like a balance between creativity, productivity, criticality and family.
