Fady Jameel
Fady Jameel is Deputy President and Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel – a family- owned diversified business, founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel. He heads the international operations of Abdul Latif Jameel globally and is a member of the board. Mr. Jameel has been a strong proponent of renewables and water. Under his leadership, Abdul Latif Jameel has taken strategic steps to build its capabilities, partnerships and expertise in these key sectors.
Mr. Jameel has been deeply involved in philanthropy and the arts throughout his career. He is Vice Chairman of Community Jameel, an international organization tackling some of the world’s most urgent challenges with a pioneering approach that is grounded in evidence, science, data and technology. Mr. Jameel helped develop Community Jameel’s programs on climate change, including innovative projects to strength food and water systems in at-risk communities.
Mr. Jameel is also the Chairman and founder of Art Jameel. Art Jameel runs numerous programs with a focus on supporting artists, creative practitioners and communities, and building access to the arts for all. Art Jameel has longstanding partnerships with the V&A in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, among other collaborations. He sits on several international museum boards and committees.
Mr. Jameel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. He speaks English, Arabic, and Japanese.
